Panasonic Avionics Corporation subsidiary, AeroMobile, has commercially launched a new partnership with leading telecommunications company Reliance Jio. Reliance Jio is India’s biggest mobile network operator with 35% of local market share in a country with more than 722 million unique mobile subscribers, and a network covering over 22 regions in India.
Following a commercial negotiation with Reliance Jio, in-flight mobile services will now be available to both pre-paid and post-paid customers. The service will be available at ₹499 for 250 MB data, ₹699 for 500 MB and ₹999 for 1 GB. All packs will also include 100 minutes of outgoing calls and 100 messages and are valid for one day. Reliance Jio travellers will be able to enjoy the service on any AeroMobile equipped aircraft in airline partners such as Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Etihad or Lufthansa.
This new market-leading proposition shows continued commitment to providing the very best service to passengers, who will be able to enjoy seamless, high-quality, and secure mobile services at 20,000 feet. This major milestone was a credit to AeroMobile’s close cooperation with Reliance Jio, as well as the commitment from Jio to be the first mobile network operator in India to launch an in-flight product.
